Ultrafine particle counter

Ultrafine particles have a diameter of less than 100 nanometers. Because of their extremely small size, they can easily enter the bloodstream and cause various health problems. The toxic effect of PM 0.1 from toxic substances is enhanced because many of the smaller particles have a larger surface area, so they have a greater effect on the body - for example on white blood cells in the lungs than fewer larger particles.
This device monitors the number particles in the air in one cubic centimeter with a diameter between than 0.7 and 0.01 micrometers. It also calculates the average particle size, which is extremely important because, as a rule, the smaller the particles, the more dangerous they are for human health.
The results of the measurements in Moscow and Budapest will be compared and announced.
