About the Project
Our campaign aims to raise awareness about the importance of EU funding and to involve the public in shaping and implementing the next seven-year EU budget period (2028–2034). We also seek to promote civil society recommendations for making the use of EU funds more effective, greener, and fairer.
Our main objectives
- Expanding public knowledge and awareness of the EU budget among citizens and civil society organisations.
- Strengthening civil society involvement in both the planning and implementation of EU-funded programmes.
- Encouraging dialogue to ensure that the EU’s multiannual budget supports fair and forward-looking climate policies.
Project duration: April 2026 – October 2027
As part of the campaign, we will carry out a wide range of activities. We will engage with municipalities, schools, Hungarian and EU decision-makers, as well as representatives from academia and the business sector. We will launch a petition, conduct public opinion research, and promote the topic through the media.
We will also participate in numerous events where visitors can try out our specially developed board game that explores the green and fair distribution of public funds.
We will share updates about the most important events and activities here on the website.
The project is implemented as part of the “Funding Fairer Futures” DEAR programme, with co-financing from the European Union.
